April 2015

This is our favourite time of year in the garden. Everything is so fresh and there is something new to see every day. Lots of work to do before the Open Garden so fingers crossed for some good weather.

Open Garden 16th & 17th May 2015

The garden at Inglewood will be opening again over the weekend of 16th & 17th May. We have decided to have a spring opening this year to show off some of the beautiful rhododendrons, azaleas and spring bulbs. Additional features this year include a large copper sculpture by Sue MeyerhoffSharples and a new hosta border. Singers from Sing Me Merseyside will be singing in the garden on the Saturday and there will be a small art exhibition and plants for sale. An additional feature this year is a tribute to the soldiers killed in World War 1. Three original Paul Cummins ceramic poppies which were displayed at the Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red tribute at the Tower of London will be displayed in the garden. Tea/homemade cakes will be sold in aid of Wirral Hospice St John's.
