lollipop lilies

These lollipop lilies produced a spectacular display and are frost hardy.

Cardiocrinum Giganteum finally flowers

Our Cardiocrinum eventually flowered after 4-5 years growth and was well worth the wait although the flower did die 3 days before our Open Garden - that was just bad timing!

Open Garden 13th & 14th July

Summer finally arrived for our Open Garden and 273 visitors arrived over the weekend helping us to raise just under £3000 for the National Garden Scheme and Wirral Hospice St John's. There was a real garden party atmosphere and we would like to say a big thanks to all our helpers ad wonderful cake makers who helped us over the weekend. We were delighted that Billy Phillips could join us from Barefoot Wines to provide wine tastings and we would like to thank my father for growing many of the plants for sale and selling them to raise over £355.

Spring has finally arrived

Enjoying some good weather at long last so thought we would post some photos of the recent spring garden. We have already enjoyed meeting visitors from 2 local WI groups and are now completing a few projects before our next Open Garden on 13th/14th July.

Spring???

The poor miniature daffodils & bulbs are somewhere underneath all this snow and the snow is still falling. At least you can't see the weeds!!
